  • 100% Natural USA Slate Rocks: Hand-split, tumbled, washed and packaged by our family-owned business in the USA. These deep-grey/black slate rocks range from about 8 to 10 inches and are ideal for aquariums, aquascapes, African cichlid tanks, reptile enclosures, terrariums and paludariums
  • Aquariums: Ideal for larger aquascapes in planted, freshwater or saltwater aquariums, paludariums. Perfect for African cichlids, including Mbuna tanks as well as biotope, Iwagumi, Dutch-style aquascapes.  The color of this stone really makes the plants and tank inhabitants stand-out!  Create cliffs, caves, mountains, berms and walls.  They can be laid flat, stood on end or placed at an angle with support.  Use with our larger pieces, smaller stones and aquarium gravel to create a realistic scene.  This is a great size to attach to larger sized driftwood to keep it from floating
  • Reptile Enclosures: Perfect in terrariums, vivariums and other pet enclosures. These stones naturally absorb and retain heat for for bearded dragons, skinks and other medium-to-large reptiles as climbing areas, basking stones or feeding platforms.  They can be glued together to create caves, cliffs, berms and walls.  Use aquarium safe glue or epoxy to secure all your creations for the safety of your inhabitants.  Use with our larger and smaller stones for a natural scene
  • Thoroughly rinse all stones before gluing or placing in your habitat.  There are absolutely no coatings on this or any of our stone
  • Because this is a natural stone, there may be some white quartz veining or brown/orange surface discoloration. These beautiful variations add a natural uniqueness and interest to the stones
